PMSL's Inshore Vessel

Precision Marine Survey Ltd operates it's own inshore survey vessel which is an ideal survey platform for inshore and estuarine survey work. With ample deck space, shallow draft (0.5m) and extended wheel house with clean 240v AC supply it is suitable for a variety of biological and physical surveys. The vessel is also available for hire for survey work and crew transfers.

PMSL are currently commissioning a larger survey vessel (12m) which is suitable for extended offshore survey works with berths, full lifting gear suitable for larger grabs or trawls and a large well equipped wheel house/cabin with space for 12 passengers making it an ideal platform for offshore survey or crew transfer.

Purpose built (2005) 8m Cheetah Marine Catamaran, powered by twin 90hp Honda 4 stroke engines. Full compliance with MCA codes, all safety equipment on board. Complete with hydraulic winch and lifting derrick, variable deck wash and fine water spray (for on board sieving). Spacious wheelhouse equipped with retained electrical workspace area (Laptop, video monitor & AGDS etc.).

On board navigation systems include Raymarine C120 colour plotter/radar and a Garmin 2010C colour chart plotter each running from separate GPS receivers. The vessel also has an AIS receiver linked to the Raymarine plotter.

Four wheel drive crew cab providing towing capacity for the deployment and recovery of PMS’s 8m cheetah marine survey catamaran anywhere within the UK.
